Angel Trumpet in my garden

I like to garden. This year I tried a new plant - an Angel Trumpet. I chose one with pink flowers. It is very easy to grow. Before frost you have to cut it down and mulch and the next year it comes back.

How flat it is

In June we went to Elizabeth City to attend my father-in-law's funeral. He was a good man and is missed by his family. The first time I went to E.City (over 40 years ago) it was 2 lane roads from Raleigh. Now it is all 4 lane controlled access roads. What an improvement! One thing you can say is it is FLAT. No rolling hills just miles and miles of wheat and corn fields. The top pic is about a half mile from the house where my husband grew up. The bottom pic was taken from the Wal-Mart parking lot. Yes they built Wal-Mart in the middle of a wheat field. After the wheat is harvested they burn off the fields. The sky was black with smoke and everything - your clothes, your hair, smells like smoke. We lived in Elizabeth City for about a year and a half. It's just a hop, skip and a jump to Nags Head.
